She is a strong girl though after everything she has been through but as a result has built walls up and has a hard time opening up to people.Now NIck may I just say WoW. It really is impossible not to fall for Nick he is the epitome of Book Boyfriend. He is not only sweet and will swoon you but is also so cute and funny and has a personality that is impossible not to love!

This is the first book I read by Gabbie S. Duran and I am definitely hoo*ed. The story is not my usual type of read. If you follow my reviews, you know I am more into romantic suspense and I love danger and action mixed with my love story. Well, that element is definitely missing from this book but when I read the synopsis and checked some teasers, there was just something that intrigued me. So I was all up for checking this book and author out. And I can honestly say that I don't regret it. The story is intriguing and once I started reading, I simply couldn't stop. It caught me with the first few words and simply it didn't release me till the end. The characters are well developed and have depth that makes them feel real.
From the very beginning the book will lead to to an emotional and heartbreaking journey that will touch your heart and make you shed quite a few tears. Taylor's story is filled with pain and betrayal. She lived through a nightmare in which all the people she was supposed to be able to depend on, betrayed or deserted her. As a result she is the scared, determined and closed off woman who Nick meets the first day. But she has an inner beauty and strength that ultimately attracts him to Taylor. And even though, she pushes him away from the moment their eyes meet, his determination and stubbornness mange to break her walls and help her become the incredible and strong woman she was always meant to be.
Nick is the typical jock. With his electric blue eyes, sandy blonde hair and half smile he looks like he doesn't have a care in the world. And with his arrogant behavior and believe that he can get whatever he wants, he looks like the typical spoiled sports star. And to some extent he is, but looks can be also deceiving. Inside, he hides a dependable, loving and tender man who emerges only once he meets Taylor. She changes him into the man he is meant to be. Even though, Nick and Taylor's relationship is not the easiest one and they have huge hurdles to overcome, they finally manage to find their HEA.
As a whole, I quite enjoyed the book. I was missing a little bit the suspense I love so much but apart from that the story is great. It is heartfelt and heartbreaking and I can guarantee that you will fall in love with Taylor and Nick. I am definitely happy that I took a chance on the book and the author. I am quite eager to read some more Gabbie S. Duran books )

I was intrigued by the cover and the synopsis reeled me in A broken girl with a story to tell. While I did not love this story, there were a few things I really enjoyed. The witty banter between Nick and Taylor was fun and Nick's persistent pursuit of Taylor was entertaining. However, I never really felt a connection with these characters which detracted from my overall enjoyment of the story. The writing was good, the characters were good and the story was good. This was my first book from this author and I while I did not love this story, I believe this author has potential.

A book well written
Clarity is a great title that man was patient his live took care of both of them he was relentless and it paid off for both of them I recommend this book dearly.
This is a book about two individuals not looking for love or a relationship, until they find each other. Nick is trying desperately to find his way in life. He doesn't want to be ruled by family obligations, business alliances or a committed relationship. He has worked hard to get a promising baseball career and will not let anything stand in his way. His ankle injury is a small road bump to him. He believes he can use his panty dropping smile, good looks, and charm to get anything he wants. And, what he really wants is to get back to playing baseball. By using his charm, he thinks he will get his new physical therapist to sign off on his ankle being healed, without him doing the work.
Taylor, his physical therapist isn't risking the liability, her job, or her name for some cocky jock. She is immune to his charm and sees through the fog of phoniness. She even calls him on it. She shocks him with her "don't have time for your crap" attitude. However, Taylor never banked on the fact that Nick would see her standoffish attitude as a challenge. While he is intrigued, she is annoyed.
Taylor has endured pain. Her life has been filled with countless dissapointments. Around her heart she has constructed a barrier as big as the Great Wall of China. She figures that by not letting anyone in, she can't get hurt. But she is miserable being closed off. All she has is her girl friends and they each have exciting things happening in their lives. Her life is dull and filled with the mundane monotony of life's responsibilities. She hates the nightmares that disrupt her nights sleep. She hates that she is letting her past hinder her from having a fun-filled, exciting future. Litterally, she is frozen by the pain of her past. It is frustrating to watch as she refuses to allow others to help her move on, but Nick's persistence slowly melts away her stubbornness and fears.
This story is paced just right. There are several obstacles Nick and Taylor have to tackle before they get their happy ever after. However, the journey is a sweet, romantically dreamy, page turning fun, easy read. I really enjoyed it. It is not a steamy read. It is very tastefully done, but the dialog is realistic and fun. It is a one-time read for me - thus the 4 stars, but it was good. I would recommend it!
Phenomenal!!! Gabbie has done it again! Nick & Taylor are such a great couple. They teach each other so much in life. What I love the most is that they are real, you will love them at times, dislike them at others and at one time maybe hate them BUT this is a story that you will definitely feel something for the characters. No spoiler alerts here because you just have to read it!!! Buy this book, you will not reget it!!!
